Eric Meng joined Rystad Energy in 2022, based in Beijing, China. He leads the firm’s China consulting presence and he is responsible for regional project success and business development in China. Eric’s project expertise spans corporate growth strategy and M&A covering the whole deal cycle (including deal strategy, commercial / operational due diligence, post-merger integration), as well as market assessments, competitor analysis and benchmarking.
Deeply committed to facilitating the energy transition, Eric’s client portfolio covers international energy majors, NOCs, energy supply chain companies, and investors. He holds a good understanding of the full energy value chain with specialty in E&P, Energy Supply Chain (OFS and EPCI), Gas Market, Renewable Energy markets.
Eric is a regular speaker at energy conferences in China. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball, traveling, reading, and listening to music.
Prior to joining Rystad Energy, Eric worked in the Global Strategy Group at KPMG for six years, leading a team of growth strategy and M&A professionals. He holds a M.Sc. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Rutgers University in the US and a B.Sc. in Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering from Hunan University in China.
