Jon Marsh Duesund is a Partner in Rystad Energy’s advisory department. Jon has been with the company, based both in Oslo and Houston, for more than 15 years. He is currently based in the Oslo headquarters but was responsible for building up the Americas consulting practice during his time in Houston. Jon’s project expertise spans several segments, including transaction support, supply chain market assessments and strategy.
Jon is passionate about having a holistic view on energy and fact-based approach to the energy transition. Across the years, Jon’s work has spanned several themes and client types, from dissecting the early days of the shale revolution, assessments of niche technologies, to evaluation of clean tech investments. As such, Jon has a deep understanding of significant portions of the energy landscape. His client portfolio includes energy majors, service providers, private equity and infrastructure funds.
With his broad experience, Jon has been a speaker on multiple events in both the Europe and US, including OTC. Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his family, playing football and occasionally suiting up for a triathlon.
Jon holds a Master’s of Science in Industrial Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, including a graduate exchange program at University of California, Berkeley.
